Day 12 of Prayer
To be In Christ, we must be in prayer. Prayer nourishes our relationship with Christ. In order to know someone, we must talk with them and have several conversations together daily; our relationship with Christ is built the same way. Prayer is not a “Make a Wish” moment, rather a building block to knowing our Savior, personally with depth, love and understanding.
If I never have a real conversation with my husband, we will not have an intimate bond; our marriage relationship will become dull, lacking real relationship qualities, such as trust, accountability, hope, desire, etc. This is the same as our prayer life and how prayer connects us to our Savior.
Prayer brings us to intimacy with Jesus, it is a conversation piece that opens us to vulnerability allowing for guidance, pruning and correction to make us fully satisfied in Him. We love, submit, worship, praise, confess, and choose to allow Him to change us through prayer, yet He also listens to us and knows our hearts desires. Our perspective is heightened, and our faith is refreshed, as our intimacy grows with God. Our prayers become more refined, bolder and creating in us expectant hearts for all He will do, praise for all He has done and a desire to fulfill the works He prepared for us to do.
In this season, my prayer for you is that you will pause and contemplate on the Author and Finisher of your Faith as you grow in your daily prayer moments and that you will continue to thirst for God. Prayer is essential to walking closely with Christ. My hope is that you will experience the power that prayer has, as you communicate with Jesus daily.
Dear Jesus, We pray that today you will enlighten the eyes of our hearts, in order that we may know the hope to which You have called us, as stated in Ephesians 1:18. Thank you Lord, that we can come directly to your throne and that when we truly seek You, we find You. Thank you that You took our place on the cross, so that we can have direct access to You, through Your Son, Jesus Christ. What a gift you have blessed us with, through prayer. Such a powerful tool that You have graciously given to Your children. We praise You and thank you, Lord. Amen
Hebrews 12:2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Psalm 16:11
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
